1. What this covers
This policy explains what information Primota collects when you browse events, buy tickets, or sell on the platform, and how we use it. It applies to buyers, sellers, and anyone who contacts our support team.
2. Information we collect
From buyers: your name, email and phone number when you check out or sign in, and the events you save or order. From sellers: your business name, email, phone number, and a securely hashed password — never your password itself. From everyone: basic technical information like IP address and browser, used for security and to keep the service running reliably.
3. Payment information
Payments are handled by PesaPal, our payment processor. Primota never sees or stores your full card number or mobile money PIN — we only receive the transaction reference and status needed to confirm your order.
4. How we use your information
To create and deliver your tickets, let you sign back into your account, pay sellers their earnings, respond to support requests, prevent fraud, and improve Primota. We don't sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Who we share it with
With PesaPal, to process payments. With the seller of an event you've bought a ticket for, so far as needed to fulfil your order (e.g. your name and ticket details). With authorities, only where required by Ugandan law.
6. Cookies and sessions
Primota uses a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in — as a buyer, seller, or admin. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
7. How long we keep it
We keep account and order information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, tax or dispute-resolution purposes.
8. Your rights
Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Contact our support team to make a request, and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information — passwords are never stored in plain text, and admin/seller sessions are signed and time-limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.
10. Children
Primota is not directed at children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as Primota grows. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
